Steven Universe OC Zircon Redesign

I was looking through the Steven Universe OC tag so I wanted to redesign mine, Zircon has gone through many transformations and I feel this suits his bio and the powers he possesses. He is based in the Zircon gem, I was going to use my birthstone-peridot-but blue is my favorite color so I went in this direction. I’ve researched that auburn/honey zircons,when heated, can be changed to a stunning electric blue. I had to incorporate this into his backstory, and I did.

"Zircons mother, Honey was a gem who was part of another group of gems was on a mission. Zircon being young and curious wanted to follow her. On the site of the battle a big fire monster was beating Honey and her ally Topaz(who was secretly in a relationship with Honey). A big blast of fire was coming Zircons way, Honey jumped in the way and took the blast but it was strong and went through her. Zircon has hit but luckily not to severely. The extreme heat brought on a sudden transformation into a the cold flame loner that Zircon was now. Zircon didn’t think Topaz would understand but she revealed her love for Honey and explained. Zircon morning for his now regenerating mother and coping with the fact his mother lied to him he ran, he ran as fast as she could. He eventually came across a crying girl her name was Onyx…
That’s all for now but I’m fleshing out the story of Onyx and Zircon with my friend.

I hope you all like the art, even though I messed up a few times I worked hard on it.(expect a digital version soon) I might change his palette a bit but I wanted to keep elements of his old self.
(Also I tried to make him kind bigger and chubby since Steven universe has more body types represented and I am kinda big…;^
